There are a number of charitable organisations and support groups across the country, who are able to provide quiet reassurance, and a confidential listening ear to anyone affected by death.
By contacting a dedicated support group or helpline, you need never face your grief alone.

Many employers, professional bodies and trade unions set up benevolent funds, trusts and charitable schemes to help (former/present) employees, workers allied to their industry, union members and often their family dependents too.
Funding is set aside specifically to help individuals who meet the organisation's criteria and who are themselves, experiencing hardship or crisis.
If you are in receipt of certain state benefits you may also qualify for financial assistance towards the cost of a funeral. British Gas Energy Trust also offer grants to help distressed residents in England.
