I am just writing to thank Gooding Funeral Services for their care, empathy and professionalism in dealing with my husband, Michael Wallis' funeral.

When my son, Iain, first contacted you, the undertakers, Joshua & Peter who arrived were very kind, respectful and assured us that they would take great care of Mike and get him ready so we could visit.

My son, Iain spoke with Sanjaye and Amanda in detail so we could organise exactly what we wanted for the funeral. They listened very carefully and made good suggestions but were never pushy and talked us through every decision made.

The funeral itself was perfect. From Mike's arrival in the hearse, a beautiful slideshow and Rev. Sharon Kaye's service. It was very personalised and dignified.

A special mention must go to Amanda in her perseverance to retrieve a video keepsake of the service for those who couldn't make it.

It was a very traumatic time for our family but Gooding Funeral Services made it more bearable and doable.

Thank you all so much for getting us through this very difficult time.

Not only did you make Bertram look amazing, you treated him with respect and dignity from the night you collected him from his home.

You accommodated us as a family any time we wanted to see him even in the snow when you didn't even have to open.

On the funeral day you respected our wishes to take him to Trax to give his friends some "rum" and not once did you rush us, you left us to do what we needed to do. For my Dad to do this would have meant a lot.

What can I say, you helped arrange for my Dad to leave in style and we as a family will always be grateful.

We came to you for a service and it didn't feel like that, it felt personal like you all had the same respect for my Dad as we did.
